The fastest and easiest way to make money on the internet is by selling, promoting or marketing other people’s products / services. This method is known as Affiliate marketing. The main disadvantage of this money marking method is of course the fact that you can’t retain the entire revenue for the product / service you sell, but you get a certain percentage on every sale you referred. Affiliate Marketing is currently the most popular way to make money on the internet.

You however have the option and privilege to sell your own product/service if you choose not to be an affiliate. The best thing about selling you own products/services is that you have self-control over the entire marketing process, pricing, and you retain almost 100% for every sale you make.

But as you may know by now, creating and selling your own product is not always an easy thing to do. If you consider, as many people do, that creating your own product is difficult, then your only choice of making money online would be to promote other peoples’ products through what is called affiliate programs. In other words Affiliate marketing.

There are dozens of good affiliate programs available on the internet. The leader of these programs as far as digital products are concerned is of course Clickbank.

In most affiliate programs, you’ll usually get paid per sold product but some programs may pay you just for sending visitors to their website. The compensation varies from a few percentages up to 50-75% of the sale. An affiliate is a person who promotes the product/service of other companies and then gets paid by commission, per referred sales he makes.

Now, I hope that once you start on step one in setting up your own internet business, you are going to focus all through. I will start letting the cat out of the bag.

The first important step is deciding how you are going to make money on the internet, i.e. what are you going to make money with?

A- Promoting Affiliate Products

One of the best methods is to promote other people’s products or services. This know as affiliate marketing and it is good for you because of tree main reasons:

1- You have no financial outlay

2- You can get your business starting quickly

3- You can test the profitability of a market easily

And many more advantages.

There are lots of ways to find programs to promote. When you are promoting another person’s product you are known (in Internet marketing terms) as, an affiliate and an affiliate program is run by a product owner to recruit people like yourself to promote their products.


Clickbank
The main source and excellent way to find products to promote is to visit http://www.clickbank.com It’s a massive directory of affiliate programs, and the nice thing about it is that it takes care of the entire back end process, i.e. it pays the merchant, pays the affiliate (you!) and is reliable. They’ve been around for years and there will be no worries about you not being paid or them going under. Another good think about Clickbank is that you can also aggregate your commissions from various campaigns, which means you get your commission check a little bit quicker. In fact, they are the greatest distributors of digital products in the world right now! If your are serious about doing affiliate marketing, then you have to use Clickbank.

The downside of Clickbank is that they pay by check and take a commission. However, for the peace of mind, it’s well worth it. And come to think of it, they are also doing business, so they should make profits too, right? Coupled with the fact that there is a possibility of setting up this internet business for little cost, it is well worth checking out Clickbank. It is completely free to register as an affiliate.


Commission Junction
You can also check out the affiliate programs at commission junction. You can sign up for free at http://www.cj.com/. They also offer interesting affiliate programs that you can exploit to your advantage.

You should be aware that affiliate marketing is not for boys! It can turn out to be difficult to make money with them if you don't do it the right way. The main thing to note about all these affiliate programs is that it is very vital you concentrate on a particular niche. For example, if you what to promote products in the jewellery industry, then choose about 4 to 5 products in that industry and that industry alone. This will make it easier for you to drive traffic to you webpage by using articles submissions or youtube videos. And if you choose to use Pay per Click advertising, to advertise your business, then choosing products from a single niche would make it easier for you to be relevant in you advertising. (I would be explaining more on this in the last part of this book). I don’t mean that you get stocked in one niche, but for a start you should focus on a single niche so as to be able to learn how the whole process works. Once you became well learned, you can then start diversifying your products so as to smooth your returns and minimize your risks.

B- Obtaining Resale rights
You may also decide to acquire resale rights. You can acquire the 'resale rights' to a product − which allows you to sell it as if it was your own.

One popular and profitable way to attain success in Internet marketing is to acquire the resale rights to products.

Here are the main reasons
1. You don't have to create any content yourself. You receive the actual product plus a ready made web page.
2. The products are digital goods so you can automate the whole selling process.
3. You keep 100% of the profits unlike an affiliate program where you just get a commission from each sale
4. You can repackage your resale rights products to create a new unique package that is exclusive to you.

Generally I don’t recommend obtaining resale rights in this book because there is no where in this world that you can get resale writes for free. But if you could invest some money in this, then find sites that are offering resale rights by typing a keyword such as “obtain resale rights” in Google and exploit the results you find.

C- Become an Author

Can you write? Do you know how to do something special? If yes, then you can share your knowledge with the world by writing and selling your own e-books or e-course.

If you decide to make money through e-books, then I advice you to use Clickbank for the same reasons I suggested above. To become a publisher with click bank, you have to pay a one time fees of about $40 for each e-book you want to sell with them. There are thousands of affiliates at Clickbank just waiting to help sell your product for a commission, and that is what affiliate marketing is all about!

To sell your e-book on Clickbank you’d require a landing page and a thank you page. (I will show you how to create and publish these pages later.)

When writing your e-book or e-course, you should make it interesting so your readers won’t be bored when reading it. To make even more money from your e-book, you can propose some of your affiliate products in your book.

If you decide to make money through your e-course, then it would be best for you to give out the e-course free of change in different instalments, and then make money by promoting your affiliate products in your e-course. By doing this, those who subscribe to your free e-course would likely buy one of your affiliate products and then you would earn commissions.

This affiliate marketing method is good since many people like free stuffs. You start by giving them a free e-course, and then later you market products to them. Given that the e-course is free, many people would like to subscribe to it.

You can also give your e-book for free, if you choose to write an e-book instead of an e-course. Just make sure you have some affiliate links in it so people could buy stuff and you earn commissions.

No mater what you decide to do: an e-book or e-course, in order to succeed with affiliate marketing, you have to show to your readers that you have value. The best way of doing this is by providing good and appealing content for your readers. If not they would not be interested in your writings. People like to associate themselves with people who can offer something good to them. That is how a normal rational human being behaves. If you don’t prove that you are smart in your chosen niche, your readers won’t buy any products you recommend. Give valuable information, smart pieces of advice, and write in simple good English, then you would get their attention.
